      • Product description:

Chelated Copper is a quality product, which has been formulated to provide your horses with an easily absorbed copper formula.

Several conditions, otherwise common in horses, are attributable to its deficiencies and these include:

        • High incidence of epiphysitis in growing horses.

        • Anemia, copper is necessary for the production of the pigment of red blood cells.

        • Discoloration and weakening of the coat and hooves.

        • Mares who have reported fatal postpartum haemorrhages due to rupture of the uterine artery have subnormal blood levels of copper.

CHELATED COPPER is manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the AAFCO (American Association of Feed Control Officials).

CHELATED COPPER is the result of the union of mineral copper and amino acids. This process enormously increases the absorption of copper in the intestinal wall and therefore within the equine metabolism. On the contrary, additives with inorganic copper (eg sulphates) are not easily absorbed and are easily lost with excretion.

Copper deficiency can happen easily. The reason for a copper deficiency in a horse can be traced back to both pasture, the land on which cereals or hay are grown and the presence of substances that inhibit the absorption of copper itself.

Notes: This product provides an easily absorbable copper formulation. Copper needs to be integrated in areas where deficiencies exist. It is important to know the copper doses required for supplementation in your veterinarian's area.

CHELATED COPPER must be used as a complementary feed in the daily ration.
